Promoting and
developing Québec studies in Canada and abroad.
AIM
Creating an
international network of research on Québec through :

co-operation with
those in the Québec, Canadian and international university
community who are interested in the society, history, culture,
evolution and development of Québec;
ACTIVITIES

Support for
Québec participation in activities enhancing its stature abroad,
such as seminars, conferences, colloquiums, etc.
AWARDS
- Certificates of merit in recognition of
distinguished contributions to the development of comparative or
multidisciplinary studies on Québec.
- Gaston Miron Bourse d’excellence granted
to a foreign doctoral student for research in Québec literature.
- Commission de la Capitale nationale du
Québec award for commendable university research on the
international rôle of capital cities.

Students, professors
and others affiliated with the university community.
FUNDING
The Québec
Department of International Relations and of Culture and
Communications provide subsidies to the IAQS
for its development. Funding is also ensured by the membership and
by support from the private sector and philanthropic foundations
from Québec and abroad.
